throughout time throughout place the wise proclaim all is divine and we nod in acquiescence hmm yes, all divine we intone in sage murmurs all divine, but… but not the rocks we say surely there is no divinity in mute mineral stasis still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the rivers we say surely there is no god in cold chaotic flow still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the trees we say surely there is no deity in witless wooden matter still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the insects we say surely there is no sanctity in creeping crawling automata still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the birds we say surely there is no holiness in flighty flitting nescience still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the beasts we say surely there is no transcendence in inchoate instinctual flesh still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not the stars we say surely there is no spirit in faraway fiery atoms still, all is divine… so say the wise but… but not those others we say surely there is no godliness in contrary clashing stories … all is divine so say the wise and we say all is only us
